Body Language in Interviews
Use posture, eye contact, and gestures to appear confident and engaged.
Body Language in Interviews
Sit straight but relaxed. Lean slightly forward to show interest. Make steady (not staring) eye contact about 60–70% of the time. Nod when the interviewer speaks to show you're listening.
Use natural hand gestures when explaining. Avoid crossing arms, fidgeting, or touching your face. Keep your phone face-down and out of reach. On video, ensure your upper body is visible and your hands are in frame when you gesture.
Mirror the interviewer's energy subtly—if they're formal, stay professional; if they're casual, you can relax a bit. A genuine smile when greeting and when discussing something positive goes a long way.
