How to Handle Job Rejection

Rejection is part of the process. It often reflects fit, timing, or competition—not always your worth. Allow yourself a short moment to feel disappointed, then focus on what you can control: the next application and interview.

If possible, ask for feedback: 'Could you share any feedback that might help me improve?' Not all recruiters will respond, but some do. Use it to refine your answers, resume, or skills. Don't take vague feedback personally.

Keep a simple log: where you applied, what stage you reached, and one takeaway. It helps you see progress and patterns. Stay consistent—improving your preparation and applying to the right roles will eventually pay off.
