Video Interview Best Practices

Test your camera, mic, and internet before the interview. Use a neutral background or blur it. Position the camera at eye level and look at the lens when speaking, not just at the screen.

Dress as you would for an in-person interview. Ensure good lighting on your face—natural light or a lamp in front of you works well. Close other apps and tabs to avoid notifications and lag.

Join 2–3 minutes early. Have a glass of water nearby. Nod and smile to show engagement. If the connection drops, stay calm and rejoin; have the interviewer's phone number or email ready if shared.
